Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has urges the Kashmiris, living in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and abroad to observe India\u2019s Republic Day as Black Day on January 26 to send a clear message to the world that they reject India\u2019s illegal occupation of their homeland.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, All Parties Hurriyat Conference Spokesperson Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement in Srinagar said India is involved in serious crimes against humanity in occupied Jammu and Kashmir and its claim of being the world\u2019s largest democratic country has been completely exposed in the territory.<\/p>\n
He said Jammu and Kashmir is an internationally recognized dispute and India has no right to hold its Republic Day celebrations in IIOJK. He said India has occupied Jammu and Kashmir against the will of the Kashmiris and has seized their birthright to self-determination by force, therefore, its Republic Day is a Black Day for the people of Kashmir.<\/p>\n
Abdul Rashid Minhas said Kashmir is an international dispute and the United Nations has recognized the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination through its many resolutions. Pakistan and India have signed these resolutions, however, India\u2019s stubbornness is the only obstacle in the implementation of these resolutions, he remarked.<\/p>\n
The spokesperson said that the international community should take notice of India\u2019s rigid stance and play its role in resolving the lingering Kashmir dispute and giving the Kashmiris the right to self-determination.<\/p>\n
He also urged the US to play its role in settling the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the United Nations resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
