Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has said that the Bharatiya Janata Party is responsible for the division of the territory, and demanded the reunification of Ladakh saying that the BJP has no moral authority to speak about unity after orchestrating the bifurcation of Kashmir.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, Omar Abdullah was reacting to remarks by BJP general secretary Tarun Chugh, who claimed that the BJP believes in a \u201cfully united Jammu and Kashmir\u201d .<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is good that he said this, but the idea of division was started by the BJP itself,\u201d Omar Abdullah told the media. \u201cWe have always wanted Jammu and Kashmir to remain one entity. It was the BJP that separated Ladakh, and we still wish for Ladakh to be reunited with Jammu and Kashmir.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said Jammu and Kashmir should never have been broken up and that the narrative of separation was neither historic nor democratic. \u201cWe have never wanted Jammu and Kashmir to be seen separately. It should never have been separated. We are not in favour of Jammu being separated from Kashmir. It is the BJP and some of their allies in Kashmir who promote such narratives,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Tarun Chugh had stated that the BJP stands for a fully united Jammu and Kashmir, including the areas of Azad Kashmir.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
