According to Kashmir Media Service, the conference, organized by the Institute of Dialogue, Development and Diplomatic Studies, was attended by Dr Waleed Rasool, Professor Dr Karim, Chairperson of All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference Ms Samia Sajid, Principal of the college Professor Nosheen, a large number of teachers and students.<\/p>\n
The speakers on the occasion said the Kashmiri people observe India\u2019s Republic Day as a Black Day every year because India, the so-called world\u2019s largest democracy, is directly involved in the worst state terrorism, atrocities and systematic human rights violations in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n
They said the so-called Indian democracy is nothing but a fraud, the real face of which has been exposed to the world in the form of extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances, mass graves, political prisoners, restrictions on expression of opinion and continuous military siege in occupied Kashmir.<\/p>\n
They said for the past several decades, the Kashmiri people have been peacefully struggling to achieve their inalienable right to self-determination, however, India is trying to suppress the Kashmiris’ freedom movement through brutal use of force.<\/p>\n
The speakers appealed to the international community, the United Nations and international human rights organizations to fulfill their moral, legal and humanitarian responsibilities and take immediate notice of the ongoing Indian atrocities in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n
Finally, they urged the students to consider the Kashmir dispute not just as an emotional slogan but as a conscious, intellectual and moral responsibility and to highlight it and convey the voice of the Kashmiris to the world through research, education, dialogue and positive narrative and demonstrate intellectual and practical solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiri people.<\/p>\n
At the end of the conference, special prayers were offered for the elevation of the ranks of Kashmiri martyrs and the liberation of the oppressed Kashmiri people.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
