Srinagar: Heavy snowfall in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir has brought the territory to a standstill, with key roads shut and remote areas cut off.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Srinagar-Jammu highway remains closed, and authorities have advised commuters to avoid travel unless absolutely necessary.<\/p>\n

The snowfall has left many areas without access, including:<\/p>\n

– Kishtwar and its twin valleys, Warwan and Marwa
\n– Gurez, Machil, Tangdhar, and Karnah in north Kashmir
\n– Sonamarg and Zojila Pass, with 2-3 feet of snow accumulation
\n– Parts of Ladakh, including Drass, Minamarg, and Kargil<\/p>\n

Authorities have imposed restrictions on tourist travel, allowing only vehicles with anti-skid chains to access destinations like Gulmarg and Sonamarg.<\/p>\n

Locals are struggling to access basic necessities, with many stuck in traffic gridlocks.<\/p>\n
