Muzaffarabad: A two-day exhibition of the pictorial book \u201cKashmir: Wait and See\u201d by European photo-journalist C\u00e9dric Gerbehaye was held at the Prime Minister’s House in Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The exhibition was inaugurated by AJK PM, Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, the event was attended by the book’s author, C\u00e9dric Gerbehaye, and the Chairman of the Kashmir Council Europe (KCEU) Ali Raza Syed, who is also the organizer of the book’s introductory and promotional events and exhibitions in Pakistan and Azad Kashmir. Human rights activist Marjan Lucas from the Netherlands, Hungarian intellectual Andre B\u00e1rcs, and a Korean delegation, along with prominent personalities and government officials of Azad Kashmir, were also present.<\/p>\n

PM Faisal Rathore praised the publication of the book and commended the role of the book’s author Sedric Gerbhaye and KCEU\u2019s Ali Raza Syed and his team in its publication and promotion. He expressed hope that the publication of this book and the exhibition of the photographs contained within it would help highlight India\u2019s atrocities in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and draw attention to the unresolved Kashmir dispute.<\/p>\n

\"\"Former AJK Prime Minister, Raja Farooq Haider, also visited the exhibition and met with the book’s author and organizers. The book’s author, C\u00e9dric Gerbehaye, Chairman of the Kashmir Council EU Ali Raza Syed, and other organizers and the European delegation also met with the Acting President of Azad Kashmir, Chaudhry Latif Akbar.<\/p>\n

C\u00e9dric Gerbehaye, who is from Belgium, completed the book over the past eight years. It contains pictures of victims of Indian brutalities in IIOJK, particularly those injured by pellet guns, and residents of Azad Kashmir living near the Line of Control who have been targeted by unprovoked Indian gunfire. The book also captures the daily life and culture of people from both parts of Kashmir, including Gilgit-Baltistan.<\/p>\n

Ali Raza Syed highlighted the KCEU\u2019s significant role in the preparation and publication of the book.<\/p>\n

The exhibition will continue at Mirpur University of Science and Technology, Mirpur on February 1\u20132, and later at the National College of Arts, Lahore from February 5\u201310.
