Islamabad: Indian media and influencers branded the 31 January\u20131 February 2026 Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) attacks across multiple Balochistan districts as a \u201csuccessful resistance operation\u201d, highlighting exaggerated militant claims of triple digit Pakistani security force casualties and hostage taking, and circulating celebratory narratives on social platforms.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, such glorification directly violates United Nations Security Council Resolution 1373, which obliges all states to suppress support for terrorism and prevent incitement, and contradicts India\u2019s own treaty commitments under the International Convention for the Suppression of Terrorist Bombings and the International Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism.<\/p>\n
By platforming BLA propaganda, giving it disproportionate airtime, and framing Herof 2.0 as \u201cfreedom struggle\u201d rather than terrorism, India is effectively providing moral support and information space to a group responsible for coordinated attacks on civilian and security targets, thereby undermining Pakistan\u2019s sovereignty and the UN Charter\u2019s non intervention principle<\/p>\n
India’s blatant disregard for international laws has escalated from domestic atrocities to sponsoring terrorism abroad, particularly in Pakistan.<\/p>\n
According to the US State Department’s 2024 Human Rights Report, significant issues include arbitrary killings, with the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) documenting 85 deaths in police encounters by August.<\/p>\n
Human Rights Watch reported 121 police custody deaths, 1,558 judicial custody fatalities, and 93 extrajudicial killings in the first nine months of 2024 alone.<\/p>\n
Amnesty International highlighted the demolition of over 2,840 properties, mostly belonging to Muslims, between 2019 and 2024, as extrajudicial punishment.<\/p>\n
The UN Human Rights Committee condemned India’s use of counter-terrorism laws leading to unlawful killings and torture in regions like Jammu and Kashmir, with 2,800 arbitrary arrests post a 2025 attack.<\/p>\n
