Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference leadership has extended heartfelt gratitude to the government, and people of Pakistan for their wholehearted and unwavering support to Kashmiris\u2019 ongoing struggle for the right to self-determination.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, illegally detained APHC Chairman Masarrat Aalam Butt, in a message from New Delhi\u2019s infamous Tihar Jail, said that Kashmiris are highly indebted to the people of Pakistan for their unprecedented moral, political, and diplomatic support to the Kashmir cause. He said the manner in which Pakistan observed Kashmir Solidarity Day today infused a renewed spirit among Kashmiris to continue their struggle for the right to self-determination.<\/p>\n
Senior APHC leader Shabbir Ahmad Shah, in a separate message the jail, expressed his deep appreciation to Pakistan for its support to the just cause of the Kashmiri people. Shabbir Ahmad Shah, who is also languishing in Tihar Jail, in another message on the occasion lauded Pakistan\u2019s role in championing the Kashmir cause. He said Islamabad has always played a pivotal role in providing every possible support at regional and international levels to the ongoing liberation struggle of the Kashmiri people.<\/p>\n
The incarcerated Kashmiri woman leader, Syeda Aasiya Andrabi, while wishing peace, prosperity, and economic stability for the people of Pakistan, said that a politically stable and economically strong Pakistan is a guarantor of the success of Kashmiris\u2019 freedom struggle.<\/p>\n
Other Hurriyat leaders and parties, including jailed Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Bilal Siddiqi, Maulvi Bashir Irfani, Fayaz Hussain Jafri, Syed Sibt Shabbir Qummi, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir and Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Association in their statements in Srinagar said that as a principal party to the Kashmir dispute, Pakistan has always remained at the forefront in supporting the right to self-determination of the subjugated people of Kashmir, as envisaged under UN resolutions. They said that despite facing immense domestic and international pressures, Pakistan has unequivocally raised its voice at all international forums for its oppressed brethren in occupied Kashmir.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe hope that Pakistan will continue to extend its moral, political, and diplomatic support until we achieve our cherished goal of freedom from India\u2019s unlawful and forcible occupation,\u201d the APHC said.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, senior Vice Chairman Jammu and Kashmir National Front, Altaf Hussain Wani, in a statement in Islamabad also expressed his profound gratitude to Pakistan, its people, and leadership for observing solidarity with the Kashmiri people. The National Front leader said that Solidarity Day stands as a testament to Pakistan\u2019s unwavering support for the people of Kashmir and its commitment to a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with United Nations Security Council resolutions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
