\n\u200eIslamabad: The Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has thanked the people and government of Pakistan for commemorating \u201cFebruary 5\u201d as \u2018Kashmir Solidarity Day\u2019 consistently for the last three decades.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, the acting president of DFP, Mahmood Ahmed Saghar, in a statement in Islamabad termed the day as a symbol of an everlasting bond between the people of Pakistan and Kashmir. “Solidarity shown by the people of Pakistan is a vivid reflection of its allegiance with the Kashmiri people and commitment to their’ just cause”, he noted.

\nDescribing Kashmiris’ ongoing struggle as a legitimate and indigenous movement, he said that self-determination was an inalienable right of the Kashmiris, which was guaranteed to them under multiple United Nations resolutions.

\n\u200eHe reiterated that the Kashmiris were determined to continue their just struggle despite all odds.
