New Delhi: Activists of the All India Students Association (AISA) are facing rape and death threats after a peaceful protest demanding implementation of UGC Social Equity Regulations was violently disrupted by Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) goons, affiliated with the RSS.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, ABVP woman activist, Ruchi Tiwari, attacked a Dalit journalist, Naveen, and was later held by AISA activists Anjali and Neha, who tried to hand her over to the police. However, a mob of casteist goons gathered at the police station, abused and threatened the activists, and held them hostage for hours.<\/p>\n

The incident has sparked widespread outrage, with allegations that the police failed to control the mob and instead allowed them to intimidate the activists. AISA has condemned the violence and demanded action against the perpetrators.<\/p>\n

“Casteist forces are crying victim because the oppressed are demanding dignity,” said AISA. “The fight for equality will not be compromised in the face of casteist anti-women shouting.”<\/p>\n
