Ottawa: A group of eight Indian-origin men have been arrested and charged with stealing goods from a store in Canada.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, the men, aged between 21 and 29, are accused of theft and possession of property obtained by crime, with some potentially facing deportation.<\/p>\n

The Peel Regional Police, in collaboration with Halton Regional Police and Canada Post, launched an investigation dubbed “Project Undeliverable”. The suspects were caught after search warrants were executed at multiple residences in Mississauga and Brampton, recovering 465 pieces of stolen mail valued at over CAD 400,000.<\/p>\n

The accused individuals face a collective 344 charges, including theft from mail, mischief, and possession of stolen credit cards. This incident highlights the growing concern of organized retail crime in Canada by Indians, with authorities urging residents to secure their mailboxes and report suspicious activities.<\/p>\n

The latest arrest comes amid growing concerns over crimes linked to Indian-origin migrants in Canada. Authorities report a surge in organized theft rings, including incidents where five Indo-Canadians stole $240,000 in liquor from 50 stores in March 2025, and groups known as the “Patels” raided gas stations in January 2026, with multi-province operations recovering over $1 million in stolen goods.<\/p>\n

Extortion cases have spiked 300\u2013500 percent in Canadian hubs like Brampton and Surrey, fueled by gangs such as the Bishnoi targeting Sikh communities.
