Amritsar: Thousands of Sikhs held a massive protest march against Indian atrocities from Amritsar to Talwandi Sabo in the Indian state of Punjab.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, the protest march passed through different cities like Mukho, Faridkot and Bathinda and ended at Talwandi Sabu.<\/p>\n
The Sikh protesters remained on the streets for two days and raised strong slogans against the Modi government.<\/p>\n
The protest rally, organized by the Sikh organizations \u201cAkali Dal Aur Waris Punjab De\u201d, was led by the father of arrested Sikh leader Amrit Pal Singh.<\/p>\n

\nto immediately release all Sikh leaders imprisoned in Indian jails.<\/p>\n
The speakers on the occasion said Indian intelligence agencies are targeting and torturing Sikh youth. They further said that attempts to forcefully convert Sikhs to Hinduism would fail and a conspiracy was being hatched to make them addicted to drugs.<\/p>\n
They said that since 1947, the Indian government had been oppressing and persecuting the Sikhs but the Sikh community would continue to struggle for its rights. They also urged the youth to return to the teachings of the Sikh religion.<\/p>\n
At the end of the rally, the speakers reiterated the resolve that the Sikh community would never forget the sacrifices of its martyrs and would continue the struggle until they achieve their fundamental rights.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
