Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has strongly denounced BJP-led Indian government\u2019s continued muscular and coercive policies in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), urging New Delhi to abandon its militaristic approach and initiate a meaningful political process to resolve the longstanding Kashmir dispute.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement issued in Srinagar, condemned ongoing repression in the occupied territory, citing killings, arbitrary detentions, property seizures, dismissal of employees, and sweeping curbs on civil liberties. He said such actions have intensified fear and deepened alienation among the Kashmiri people.<\/p>\n

Minhas maintained that the people of IIOJK are being pushed to the wall and are enduring one of the darkest periods in the territory\u2019s history, marked by political disempowerment, demographic concerns, media curbs, and economic marginalization. It called on India to end rights violations, release all political detainees, lift restrictions on peaceful political activities, and create conditions conducive to meaningful dialogue.<\/p>\n

The spokesman stressed that durable peace cannot be secured through military might, surveillance, or suppression of dissent, but only through a just and peaceful resolution of the dispute in accordance with the relevant United Nations resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.<\/p>\n

The APHC also called upon the international community to take serious notice of the worsening human rights situation in IIOJK and play an effective role in facilitating a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
