Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian police have attached the immovable properties of two Kashmiris in Sopore in connection with a fake case.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, the action pertains to a case registered at Police Station Sopore under draconian laws. The property of Basheer Ahmad Mir of Lathishat Tujjar and Ajaz Ahmad Butt of Harwan were attached.<\/p>\n

Authorities claimed that the two had been evading arrest for years and were subsequently declared proclaimed offenders by a court .<\/p>\n

Police claimed that the duo had crossed over to Azad Kashmir and were involved in anti-India activities. Following court orders, attachment proceedings were executed. The process, police said, was carried out in the presence of an Executive Magistrate and independent witnesses.<\/p>\n

Observers, however, say that such actions under stringent and decades-old laws are part of an intensified campaign to economically and socially marginalize Kashmiris, particularly those accused of political or resistance-related activities.
