New Delhi: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi\u2019s response to the ongoing Middle East crisis has laid bare New Delhi\u2019s biased and self-serving foreign policy, analysts say.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, while Iran faced a devastating joint US-Israel attack, Modi maintained diplomatic silence toward Tehran, failed to engage directly with Iranian leadership, and refrained from pressuring Israel to halt its strikes.<\/p>\n

Instead, he called UAE\u2019s leadership to condemn Iran\u2019s retaliatory actions, signaling partiality toward anti-Iran coalitions.<\/p>\n

For decades, India benefited from its strategic partnership with Iran, including subsidized low-price oil supplies and a $500 million investment in the Chabahar Port, providing crucial access to Afghanistan and Central Asia under a 10-year agreement due to 2024.<\/p>\n

However, amid the ongoing 2026 crisis, India allocated zero budget to Chabahar, appeared to abandon its longstanding Iranian ties, and prioritized economic relations with Gulf states over principled diplomacy.<\/p>\n
