\"\"Srinagar: In the wake of widespread protests across Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) against the killing of Iran\u2019s Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the authorities have decided to close all educational institutions till March 07 in an effort to prevent further demonstrations.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, IIOJK Education Minister Sakina Itoo confirmed the closure in a media interview, saying, \u201cWe have decided to keep schools, colleges and universities closed till March 07.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added that the government is monitoring the situation closely and will take the call of reopening of educational institutions only after assessing the ground situation in the territory.<\/p>\n

The protests erupted across IIOJK following the killing of Iran\u2019s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in joint US-Israeli strikes on Saturday. Over a dozen protesters were injured when Indian forces used teargas and to lathi charge on demonstrators in different parts of Srinagar.
