Jammu: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, residents of remote villages located near Line of Control and Working Boundary staged a strong protest against the selective construction of bunkers, highlighting the continued jingoism of the Modi regime without caring of communities living under constant threat.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, the protest was led by Bharat Priye, Chairman of the Kissan Department of the IIOJK Congress chapter, under the banner of the Border Farmers Welfare Association, in the villages of Indira Colony and Nai Basti. The demonstrators voiced their grievances over the building of bunkers on a \u201cpick-and-choose basis\u201d.<\/p>\n
During the protest, Bharat Priye interacted with local farmers and residents, criticizing the administration for ignoring the urgent needs of the population. He emphasized that bunkers are meant to provide safety and should be constructed based on necessity rather than favoritism.<\/p>\n
Bharat Priye demanded an immediate survey of affected villages and urged authorities to construct bunkers for families who genuinely require them. He also highlighted the lack of basic facilities in many remote villages, including healthcare, road connectivity, drinking water, and other essential services.<\/p>\n
