Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), senior APHC leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has strongly condemned the killing of Iranian leader and Secretary of Iran\u2019s Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, calling it a “targeted killing” carried out by Israel, which he described as a \u201crogue state\u201d.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq who is under house arrest in Srinagar in a statement on X expressed solidarity with Iran, praising the resilience of its people and leadership. \u201cThe resilience of the people of Iran and their leadership reflects the spirit of a true Muslim nation \u2014 courageous, steadfast with resolute faith in Allah. Such people deserve to lead,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

Mirwaiz further criticised several Muslim world leaders, accusing them of acting as \u201cproxies, bereft of courage and conviction\u201d in the face of aggression against Iran.<\/p>\n

Referring to the prevailing situation in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Mirwaiz said, \u201cTe fearful rulers of this police state have, by force, once again kept him away from the House of God in the holy month of Ramzan, placing him under house arrest and preventing him from delivering a sermon at Gol Masjid, Karan Nagar.\u201d \u201cWhat a shame,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
