The area, described as a sensitive mountainous belt, has witnessed multiple operations in recent years and is considered a key infiltration route.<\/p>\n<p>During the visit, the GOC lauded troops for their battle readiness, high morale and preparedness to operate under all conditions\u2014an acknowledgment that reflects the continued militarized environment in the territory.<\/p>\n<p>In a parallel development, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Northern Command, Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, visited a forward post along the Line of Control in Rajouri. He reviewed the situation.<\/p>\n<p>Defence analysts say such frequent high-level military visits, operational reviews expose the disconnect between New Delhi\u2019s narrative of peace and the ground realities in the territory.
