New Delhi: Kashmiri jailed politician Engineer Abdul Rashid has highlighted the growing crisis in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir’s agriculture and horticulture sectors, blaming Modi regime\u2019s policy decisions and its international trade arrangements.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, Er Rashid cited the Indo-US trade deal as devastating local produce like saffron, walnuts, and fruit, with farmers having no control over pricing. He questioned declining saffron production despite government spending and flagged concerns over substandard pesticides and lack of irrigation facilities.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, PDP President Mehbooba Mufti expressed solidarity with Iran, saying “Islam came to Kashmir via Iran” and highlighting historical ties. She appealed for special prayers for Iran’s people and urged Muslim countries and India to extend support.
