\nSrinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, India has intensified its militarisation of the territory by deploying hundreds of elite commando forces personnel, further exposing the falsity of its claims of normalcy following the revocation of the special status in August 2019.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, around 350 personnel of the Special Operations Group (SOG) have been deployed in mountainous areas, dense forests and snow-bound regions to carry out intensified operations.<\/p>\n

Reports said the personnel have undergone specialised jungle and mountain warfare training with elite units outside the territory and have been tasked with tracking armed resistance fighters and tightening control across vulnerable areas.<\/p>\n

In addition to this, Indian authorities have also moved to further reinforce the territory by deploying additional battalions of paramilitary forces along the International Border to prevent infiltration.<\/p>\n

Political analysts and experts said such large-scale deployment of highly trained forces reflects the ground reality in the occupied territory, where India continues to rely on military might to suppress the legitimate aspirations of the Kashmiri people.<\/p>\n

They noted that despite New Delhi\u2019s repeated assertions of peace and stability after the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019, the continued expansion of military operations, cordon-and-search drives and counter-insurgency measures indicate a persistent atmosphere of fear and conflict.<\/p>\n

Experts further said that the increasing militarisation, including specialised training of local police into combat units and continuous deployment of additional forces, points to the failure of India\u2019s policies in the territory.<\/p>\n
