Islamabad: The resolution passed on March 23, 1940, is the main driving force behind the Kashmir freedom struggle, which is, in fact, a continuation of the Pakistan Movement.<\/p>\n

A report released by Kashmir Media Service in connection with Pakistan Day today said the Kashmir dispute is the unfinished agenda of the partition of the subcontinent, as Pakistanis and Kashmiris are tied by strong bonds of religion, history and culture. It maintained that the Kashmiri delegation that attended the March 23, 1940 public gathering in Lahore, where the Pakistan Resolution was passed, had declared that the people of Jammu and Kashmir would be part of the future Muslim state in the region.<\/p>\n

Pakistan came into being on August 14, 1947. The ongoing struggle in occupied Jammu and Kashmir is a continuation of the Pakistan Movement, and Pakistan is incomplete without Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n

The report said Kashmiris consider Pakistan and its armed forces as their saviours and protectors. It added that the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, had rightly termed Kashmir the \u201cjugular vein\u201d of Pakistan.<\/p>\n

The struggling Kashmiris draw inspiration from the historic March 23, 1940 resolution, and a strong and stable Pakistan is vital for the resolution of the Kashmir dispute.<\/p>\n

The report said Pakistan and Kashmir are incomplete without each other, and pro-Pakistan slogans in IIOJK reflect the oneness between the two. \u201cKashmiris unfurl Pakistani flags on Pakistan\u2019s national days to express their attachment and love for Pakistan. Since 1947, the people of the occupied territory have been observing Pakistan\u2019s national days under the shadow of Indian guns. \u2018Kashmir Baney Ga Pakistan\u2019 is the voice of every Kashmiri Muslim,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n

The report pointed out that the actions taken by the Indian BJP government on and after August 5, 2019, once again proved that Muslims needed a separate homeland in the subcontinent.
