New Delhi: Indian Parliament member from Baramulla constituency of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), Engineer Rashid announced in the Lok Sabha that he would donate his one month\u2019s salary for the reconstruction of a school in Iranian city of Minab, where more than 100 children were killed in a US strike on February 28.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, during a discussion on Finance Grants, Rashid made a heartfelt humanitarian appeal, emphasizing that humanity must rise above political boundaries when innocent lives are lost.<\/p>\n
\u201cI will donate my one month\u2019s salary for rebuilding that school where over a hundred children lost their lives. This is a small contribution, but it reflects our responsibility towards humanity,\u201d Rashid said.<\/p>\n
He also highlighted the solidarity from Kashmir, noting that people in the occupied territory had come forward in large numbers to support victims of the US-Israeli aggression in Iran, contributing whatever they could. \u201cWe must stand with those facing injustice,\u201d Rashid asserted, urging the Indian government to adopt a compassionate and balanced approach in global affairs.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, Rashid expressed concern over reports of attempts to sideline or target historical Muslim figures such as Qauid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Allama Muhammad Iqbal and Sir Syed Ahmad Khan from academic or public discourse. He condemned these actions as unjust and warned against any effort to selectively rewrite of history. \u201cHistory cannot be erased or rewritten by selectively removing personalities,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
