Srinagar : In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir has termed the sentence passed by the Indian special court against prominent Kashmiri women leaders Aasiya Andrabi, Fehmida Sufi and Naheeda Nasreen as a murder of principles, morality and humanity.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat spokesperson Ahmed Yasin in a statement issued in Srinagar said Modi has transformed India into a fascist state.<\/p>\n
He said these women are the spokespersons of the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. He said conviction based on baseless allegations in a case filed against them is not only condemnable but also hateful.<\/p>\n
He said that the days of oppression are numbered and the day is not far when the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir would get rid of Indian subjugation.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Muslim Students Federation (MSF) President Dr Qamar-uz-Zaman Zargar in a statement in Srinagar has drawn the attention of the United Nations Secretary-General over a politically motivated verdict by a Delhi-based NIA court sentencing Kashmiri leaders Aasiya Andrabi to life imprisonment, while Fehmida Sofi and Naheeda Nasreen were given 30 years jail each.<\/p>\n
He said the convictions is a miscarriage of justice, asserting that the charges against the Kashmiri women were fabricated and concocted by the Indian authorities to silence pro-freedom voices.<\/p>\n
He said India cannot suppress the freedom sentiment of the Kashmiris through its military might, adding the women leaders were punished for their struggle for right to self-determination.
\nHe also demanded the release of all illegally detained Kashmiri leaders and activists languishing in different jails of India and IIOJK.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
