According to Kashmir Media Service, the incident occurred on Thursday at New Delhi Railway Station, when students traveling from Hyderabad in southern India to Uttar Pradesh were confronted by a Hindutva man over cow-related accusations. A video of the encounter, recorded by one of the students, circulated widely on social media.<\/p>\n
Footage shows the students standing quietly on the platform, wearing traditional attire such as skullcaps and long tunics commonly associated with Islamic religious students. The saffron-clad man is seen approaching them aggressively, issuing threats in Hindi, warning them not to \u201ckill cows\u201d and saying they would otherwise be killed \u2014 rhetoric frequently associated with cow vigilante groups in India.<\/p>\n
In a media interview, one student said that they had been quietly waiting for their connecting train when the man approached them. He described the incident as seemingly intended to provoke a reaction that could escalate into violence. The student also urged other Muslim students traveling for examinations to remain cautious and avoid confrontation, warning that those wearing visible religious symbols such as skullcaps, beards, or traditional kurta-pyjama clothing, may face harassment during travel.<\/p>\n
