According to Kashmir Media Service, seniorshared a video on social media showing workers handling and processing large volumes of Form 6 applications, used for enrolling new voters. He said that many of these applications were submitted on behalf of individuals with \u201cno real connection\u201d to the state.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat we are witnessing is deeply concerning\u2026 a coordinated attempt to interfere with the democratic rights of the people of Bengal,\u201d Banerjee said in a tweet on X, adding that the Election Commission of India (ECI) was \u201clooking the other way.\u201d<\/p>\n
The TMC said reports from multiple districts point to suspicious bulk submissions of Form 6 applications.<\/p>\n
In a strongly worded statement, the party said that \u201cthousands of fraudulent Form 6 applications\u201d are being used to enrol \u201coutsiders with zero connection to Bengal,\u201d questioning the legality of accepting such applications after final roll publication and terming it a \u201ccriminal conspiracy\u201d to rig voter lists. The Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls were finalised on February 28, 2026, with supplementary updates still underway.<\/p>\n
The TMC further said that the ECI\u2019s inaction amounts to complicity, warning that such developments threaten the integrity of free and fair elections.<\/p>\n
Echoing the concern, TMC Rajya Sabha MP Sagarika Ghose described the situation as \u201cgravely troubling,\u201d claiming large-scale enrolment of non-resident voters.<\/p>\n
TMC spokesperson Sudip Raha said the BJP\u2019s \u201cgame is crystal clear\u2014dilute Bengal\u2019s voice under the garb of routine enrolment,\u201d adding that the ECI\u2019s inaction makes it complicit in what he termed a \u201ccrime in broad daylight.\u201d<\/p>\n
