Lucknow: In yet another attempt to malign Pakistan and divert attention from its own failures, the BJP-led Indian government has orchestrated a new plot. The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) claimed to have arrested four individuals allegedly involved in a \u201cterror module\u201d targeting key installations, including railway infrastructure, with Indian authorities asserting the group operated under handlers in Pakistan.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, observers note that such \u201cPakistan-linked\u201d narratives often surface amid domestic crises in India, serving as a tool to distract from the Modi government\u2019s internal political, economic, and foreign policy shortcomings.<\/p>\n
Intelligence reports cited by Indian authorities suggest that the module was allegedly conducting reconnaissance of military establishments, police stations, political figures, and railway infrastructure, and planning arson attacks. The accused reportedly communicated with their supposed handlers through encrypted platforms such as Telegram, Signal, and Instagram.<\/p>\n
The module was allegedly led by 25-year-old, Saqib, alias \u2018Devil\u2019 from Meerut. Other members include Vikas Gehlawat alias Raunak, Lokesh alias Papla Pandit alias Babu alias Sanju\u2014both residents of Gautam Buddh Nagar\u2014and Arbaab from Meerut.<\/p>\n
A case has been registered at the ATS police station in Lucknow under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). Officials claim preliminary interrogations suggest that the group was working with the intent to harm \u201cIndia’s sovereignty, unity and integrity by orchestrating acts of sabotage and terror under foreign directions.\u201d<\/p>\n
Police said further investigation is underway to determine the full extent of the network and identify other possible links.<\/p>\n
This is not the first time Delhi has claimed to uncover \u201cterror modules\u201d allegedly linked to Pakistan, prompting experts to warn of a recurring pattern of fabricated or exaggerated plots aimed at maligning Pakistan internationally while shielding India\u2019s domestic and external failures from scrutiny.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
