He stressed that continued inaction could lead to severe consequences not only for South Asia but for global stability at large.

The APHC emphasized that the simmering crisis in Kashmir underscores the urgent need for effective global engagement, urging the United Nations and other international organizations to move beyond rhetoric and take decisive steps toward resolving the decades-old dispute. The leadership said a just and comprehensive settlement, in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people, is essential for ensuring lasting peace in the region. The spokesman maintained that delaying a resolution to the Kashmir issue has already prolonged human suffering and instability, warning that further postponement could escalate tensions to dangerous levels. He called on the global powers to recognize the gravity of the situation and act responsibly to prevent a potential disaster.

The APHC reiterated that the Kashmir dispute remains an internationally recognized issue and cannot be sidelined or misrepresented as a domestic concern of India. It said that sustainable peace in South Asia hinges on addressing the root cause of conflict, which lies in the denial of the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination. The statement further urged world human rights bodies and peace advocates to raise their voice against the ongoing situation in the occupied territory and push for a peaceful resolution through dialogue and diplomacy. It added that indifference by the international community would only embolden aggressive policies and deepen the crisis.

Concluding, the APHC warned that the world must not remain passive in the face of the ongoing turmoil in Kashmir, as the cost of silence could be far-reaching and irreversible.

Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has warned that the lingering Kashmir dispute continues to pose a serious threat to regional and global peace, describing it as a potential nuclear flashpoint in South Asia rather than an internal matter of India.
