Islamabad: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference-Azad Kashmir chapter has praised Pakistan’s role in brokering the ceasefire between the US and Iran, saying it’s a significant achievement for global peace.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, a meeting in this regard was held at APHC-AJK office in Islamabad, today with its convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi in chair. The participants of the meeting on the occasion stated that Pakistan’s timely and effective mediation has prevented a potentially devastating war, showcasing its commitment to peace and diplomacy.<\/p>\n

The meeting on the occasion urged India to engage in meaningful talks to resolve the Kashmir dispute, emphasizing that lasting peace in South Asia depends on a fair resolution of this dispute.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Mehmood Ahmed Saghar, Acting President of the Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party, in a statement also praised Pakistan’s role in brokering a ceasefire between the US and Iran, calling it a historic diplomatic achievement.
