Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, students of Delhi Public School (DPS) in the northern town of Baramulla staged a protest within the school premises over some \u2018inappropriate\u2019 remarks made by the principal.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, the principal later tendered an apology following the protest.<\/p>\n
A senior school official told media that the controversy began when the principal sought clarification from the staff over the cleaning of the school podium. While instructing the staff to ensure cleanliness, the principal made some remarks that were considered inappropriate by students and staff.<\/p>\n
The remarks reportedly angered the students, who said their sentiments were hurt and described the comments as unacceptable. They subsequently staged a protest on campus, raised slogans, and demanded an apology from the principal. The protest also disrupted routine academic activities at the school.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, parents also arrived at the school but were not allowed to enter the premises.<\/p>\n
Videos of the protest have gone viral on social media, showing students demonstrating inside the campus while parents gathered outside the school gate.<\/p>\n
