Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, illegally detained All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman Masarrat Aalam But has termed the Iran\u2013US talks held in Islamabad with Pakistan\u2019s facilitation as a historic development.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, Masarrat Aalam Butt in a special message from New Delhi\u2019s Tihar Jail stated that they once again proved that long-standing disputes can only be resolved through dialogue rather than military force.<\/p>\n

He praised Pakistan\u2019s efforts in securing the ceasefire, saying the country\u2019s political and military leadership, through tireless diplomacy, had pulled the world back from the brink of uncertainty and offered a renewed hope for peace and humanity.<\/p>\n

Masarrat Aalam Butt said the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir have been demanding a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute and their birthright to self-determination for the past 78 years, but India continues to suppress their voices through military force instead of addressing their legitimate aspirations.<\/p>\n

He urged the international community to take notice of India\u2019s rigid approach and play its role in resolving the Kashmir dispute to ensure lasting peace and stability in South Asia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
