{"id":198313,"date":"2026-04-13T18:19:19","date_gmt":"2026-04-13T13:19:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kmsnews.org\/kms\/?p=198313"},"modified":"2026-04-13T18:19:19","modified_gmt":"2026-04-13T13:19:19","slug":"11-people-killed-after-van-collides-with-cement-mixer-in-maharashtra","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kmsnews.org\/kms\/2026\/04\/13\/11-people-killed-after-van-collides-with-cement-mixer-in-maharashtra.html","title":{"rendered":"11 people killed after van collides with cement mixer in Maharashtra"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Thane: Eleven people were killed and two others were injured after a van hit a cement mixer coming from the opposite direction on a bridge in Thane district of Maharashtra state today.<\/p>\n<p>According to Kashmir Media Service, police said the accident occurred on the Raita bridge in Murbad, when a van, travelling from Kalyan towards Murbad, crashed into a cement mixer coming from the opposite direction.<\/p>\n<p>The impact of the collision was severe, badly damaging both vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>Officials said the van was carrying multiple passengers at the time of the crash. Eight men and three women died in the accident, while the injured were rushed to a hospital in Ulhasnagar in a critical condition, Murbad tahsildar Abhijit Deshmukh told the media.<\/p>\n<p>Six of the victims have been identified, so far, while efforts are underway to establish the identity of the remaining ones, a senior police official said.<\/p>\n<p>Following the accident, traffic on the Kalyan-Ahilyanagar route was disrupted for several hours before being cleared, he added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thane: Eleven people were killed and two others were injured after a van hit a cement mixer coming from the opposite direction on a bridge in Thane district of Maharashtra state today.
