Lucknow: In yet another disturbing manifestation of rising anti-Muslim hatred in Modi\u2019s India, a burqa-clad Muslim woman in Lucknow in BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh, became an unwitting target of online harassment after a video of her was secretly filmed during travel and shared on social media, highlighting the growing climate of fear faced by minorities in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, the video was recorded and posted on Facebook by a Hindutva-aligned individual identified as Muskan Singh, known for his right-wing views and Islamophobic rhetoric. The clip carried a provocative caption reading, \u201cUda du kya\u201d (Should I blow her up?), along with a laughing emoji and the Hindu slogan \u201cJai Shri Ram.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Muslim woman, dressed in a burqa and niqab, remained completely unaware as she was filmed in a targeted and intimidating manner, while a threatening song played in the background.<\/p>\n

The audio track, popular in certain Hindutva circles, contained violent lyrics such as: \u201cI am the king of the world\u2026 I will kill you\u2026 I will shoot everyone in your house and end the mischief.\u201d Another segment carried the overlay text \u201cHave you noticed anything, Jai Bhavani.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shared on Singh\u2019s personal account, the video carried clear communal undertones, raising alarm over the increasing use of social media platforms to amplify hate speech and target minorities.<\/p>\n

Observers note that such incidents, where ordinary Muslim citizens are singled out over their attire and identity, point to a disturbing trend of online incitement and intimidation.
