Srinagar: Ahead of the India\u2019s special Parliament sitting to introduce the delimitation bill, PDP president Mehbooba Mufti has launched a sharp attack on the BJP-led Indian government, expressing apprehension that the exercise would once again be carried out in an \u201cillogical\u201d manner to serve political ends.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, talking to the media persons in Kupwara, she said, \u201cDelimitation will take place. Nothing will happen even if I or you say something. The BJP has a brute majority and they will do what they want. The delimitation has to happen in 2026-27 and it will take place\u201d.<\/p>\n

Invoking the 2023 delimitation of assembly and parliament constituencies in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the PDP chief branded the exercise an \u201cillogical distribution\u201d marred by gerrymandering.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe hope that the way delimitation took place here last time, which was illogical, will not happen now. There was gerrymandering of constituencies, and constituencies with fewer voters were created in Hindu majority areas in Jammu.
