The allegations against Nida Khan have been made part of a larger narrative to defame Muslims. She is accused of ignoring alleged sexual harassment, molestation and other complaints from employees and not providing a proper forum to the victims.

However, critics say that an attempt is being made to religiously colour the case by linking it to narratives like corporate jihad and love jihad, which has further complicated the matter. The aim of these narratives is not to make Nida Khan a symbol of an alleged conspiracy by Muslims in India’s corporate and social sectors. However, critics say that the allegations against Nida Khan are being exaggerated and an attempt is being made to link them to a specific religious narrative.

The Modi government’s fake story, crafted in collaboration with the media and investigative agencies, is also intended to divert public attention from its diplomatic failures amid the Iran-US conflict.

According to political observers, this change in the nature of the case has transformed it from a simple corporate matter to an ideological and religious dispute. They say that such narratives not only increase social divisions but also divert attention from the real issue of workplace harassment and accountability.

Nida Khan was arrested on April 10, while several cases were registered against her during March and April.

On the other hand, some leaders, affiliated with the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, have called the matter serious and demanded strict action, while other Hindutva organizations, including the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, have also protested and demanded strict action. These organizations have stressed the need for a thorough investigation into the alleged networks in IT companies.

Experts and critics have stressed that a transparent and impartial investigation into the case is necessary so that the facts can come out and the demands of justice can be met. They say that the legal process should move forward in its own direction, away from media sensationalism and political pressure.

According to analysts, the Nida Khan case is a clear example of how a local issue can turn into a broader political and social narrative, which can have an impact not only on the individuals concerned but also on the overall social harmony.

Tata Consultancy Services has clarified in its response that the company has a zero-tolerance policy against harassment and any kind of coercion and that it is fully cooperating with the investigation.

New Delhi: The Nida Khan case in India has quickly taken a controversial and political turn, where a corporate-level harassment case is being presented with a religious and ideological colour.
