New Delhi: A 52-year-old Indian citizen has been arrested in Australia for sexually harassing a fellow passenger during an international flight from Singapore to Perth.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Australian Federal Police (AFP) confirmed that the incident occurred earlier this week abroad a Scoot Airlines flight, the New York Post reported.<\/p>\n

The accused, identified as Sudhir Kumar Chauhan, allegedly sexually harassed a woman seated next to him during the journey. The victim immediately informed the cabin crew about the violent incident, after which she was moved to another seat.<\/p>\n

Airline staff monitored the situation for the remainder of the flight while informing law enforcement officials on the ground.<\/p>\n

Upon the flight\u2019s arrival in Perth, police officers boarded the aircraft and took the Indian passenger in custody. He has since been formally charged with sexual contact without consent and multiple counts of indecent acts without consent<\/p>\n
