The Ministry of Defence said Singh would review ongoing defence cooperation and identify new avenues for collaboration, including cyber security, artificial intelligence, and drones. He is also scheduled to hold talks with German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius and meet German defence industry representatives to promote joint development under the ‘Make-in-India’ initiative.

Observers said the pact reflects India’s aggressive military posturing and jingoistic ambitions, as New Delhi continues to expand its war arsenal despite unresolved disputes with neighbours and the ongoing freedom movement in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and the unrest in Northeast. The push for advanced submarines and deeper military-to-military engagements, they added, is aimed at projecting power in the region and fueling instability instead of pursuing peace.

New Delhi: Exposing New Delhi’s war jingoism and arms race in the region, as Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh begins a 3-day visit to Germany from April 21, aimed at acquiring lethal weapon systems.
