Speakers at various functions held across AJK, including Muzaffarabad, Mirpur, Bagh and Rawalakot, paid glowing tributes to him. They said he was a great leader with a vision to unite the Kashmiris. Before Partition, Raja Haider Khan spearheaded the resistance movement in Muzaffarabad and surrounding areas against the anti-Muslim Dogra rule.<\/p>\n<p>In 1947, he joined the freedom activities in the war of Kashmir\u2019s liberation and organized the struggle in Muzaffarabad and Poonch areas, forcing Dogra forces to abandon these regions.<\/p>\n<p>The speakers maintained that Raja Haider Khan always endeavoured for the realization of the Two-Nation Theory among the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and had deep concern for the people of the occupied territory.<\/p>\n<p>They added that it is the primary responsibility to carry forward the mission of great leaders and continue to support the true historical demand of the Two-Nation Theory of the Kashmiris in IIOJK.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Muzaffarabad: The 60th death anniversary of an important resistance figure, Raja Muhammad Haider Khan, who played a significant role in the freedom movement of Jammu and Kashmir against the autocratic Dogra Maharaja regime, was observed.
