Jammu: Daily wagers from various engineering and non-engineering departments held a massive protest in Kathua district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, demanding regularization and implementation of the Minimum Wages Act.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, the protest under the banner of All Daily Wagers of J&K Sangrash Samiti saw participation from Midday Meal cooks, CPW workers, land donors, ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, SPOs, PHE employees, Home Guards, and others.<\/p>\n

Protesters said they have worked for years on meager wages insufficient for basic needs.<\/p>\n
