Srinagar, : Continuing its policy of dispossession in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), the BJP-led Indian government has seized two more properties belonging to Kashmiris in Budgam and Pulwama districts.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, India\u2019s notorious probe agency, the National Investigation Agency (NIA), confiscated a parcel of land measuring 11.5 marlas in SK Bagh, Budgam, and another plot spanning 3.2 kanals located at Abhama in Rajpora area of Pulwama.<\/p>\n
The properties belong Tafazul Hussain Parimoo, resident of Sheikh-ul-Alam Colony, Nowgam, Srinagar, and Tanveer Ahmad Wani of Pulwama.<\/p>\n
The seizures were carried out under the draconian Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) in a fabricated cases. Indian authorities alleged that Tafazul Hussaind and Tanveer Ahmad were involved in pro-freedom activities and providing logistical support to resistance activists, claims often invoked to justify coercive actions against Kashmiri civilians.<\/p>\n
Since the revocation of IIOJK\u2019s special status in August 2019, the BJP government has confiscated hundreds of properties, including homes, land and business establishments.
