Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti has urged people to \u201cbring Kashmir out of uncertainty, distress and tribulations,\u201d while accusing the National Conference (NC)-led government of having \u201cfailed on every front.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, addressing a workers\u2019 convention in Islamabad district, Mufti targeting the present dispensation led by Omar Abdullah, said, criticised chief minister for not condemning US and Israeli actions against Iran.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Punjab Assembly passed a resolution condemning the attack on Iran, but our assembly couldn\u2019t,\u201d she said. On law and order, Mehbooba condemned the booking of six Sopore youths under the draconian Public Safety Act (PSA) following protests over molestation of a schoolgirl.<\/p>\n
\u201cFiling FIRs means they will face difficulty in getting jobs and passport verification,\u201d she said, adding that during her tenure she \u201crevoked FIRs of around 12,000 youth\u201d and ensured \u201cminimum use of PSA.\u201d<\/p>\n
Separately, PDP leader Iltija Mufti told reporters that the NC-led government \u201cdidn\u2019t go for rationalisation of reservation\u201d and \u201cremoved Urdu from revenue records.\u201d She said, \u201cThe government failed to provide jobs or regularise daily wagers and is blaming the Lieutenant Governor for wrong decisions.\u201d Senior PDP leaders, including Abdul Rehman Veeri, Abdul Gafar Sofi, Mehboob Beg, and Peer Mansoor, attended the convention.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
