New Delhi: Genocide Watch has reported a \u201csevere crisis of credibility\u201d in Indian media under the Modi regime, saying the media space is now shaped by political capture.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, the report said news platforms reinforce BJP narratives rather than independently scrutinizing power, while mainstream media conduct has normalized anti-Muslim rhetoric. It added that confrontational, identity-driven broadcasting compresses national issues into loyalty tests and binary political framing, making the targeting of Muslims easier.<\/p>\n

The Indian media ecosystem is affected not only by propaganda-style amplification but also by systematic omission, as self-censorship suppresses reporting that may challenge powerful political and corporate actors, the report noted.<\/p>\n
