Srinagar: Political experts and analysts have said that Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir is witnessing an upsurge in cordon and search operations, harassment, arrests, and the imposition of Hindi in the territory.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, the political experts and analysts, in their interviews and statements in Srinagar, deplored that draconian laws such as the Public Safety Act (PSA) and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) are being employed for arbitrary detentions of innocent persons, mostly youth, in the occupied territory. They said Hurriyat leaders, media persons, activists, rights defenders, and even ordinary Kashmiris are being implicated in fake cases. They said the BJP regime is imposing a Hindutva agenda through its establishment.<\/p>\n
Besides, the Indian army and non-Kashmiris dominating all offices are targeting Kashmiris and have imposed the Hindi language in the disputed territory. \u201cUrdu and Kashmiri are our own languages, and English is widely read and understood, while Hindi and Sanskrit are being imposed in government offices and official correspondence, which we reject and stand against,\u201d they said, adding that it is cultural aggression on Kashmir.<\/p>\n
The political experts and analysts pointed out that the arbitrary arrests are aimed at terrorizing the peace- and freedom-loving people of Jammu and Kashmir. They said arrests and raids are a manifestation of the Modi regime\u2019s frustration in trying to subdue the people of Kashmir. They said targeting IIOJK journalists, youth, Hurriyat leaders, and human rights activists is part of the Hindutva BJP-RSS\u2019s iron-fist policy. India is using so-called laws, including black laws, to detain and victimize the innocent people of Jammu and Kashmir, they said.<\/p>\n
The political experts and analysts said the BJP regime\u2019s pressure tactics have failed to deter Kashmiris from pursuing their righteous demand for the right to self-determination. They deplored that the BJP-led Indian government and its puppet regime in IIOJK are hell-bent on destroying all peaceful means of resolving the Kashmir dispute. They said India must be punished for perpetrating flagrant violations of international laws in IIOJK.<\/p>\n
