Protesters, mostly women, raised slogans against the authorities for failing to ensure regular drinking water supply in the locality.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have been without water for many days. Our daily routine has been badly affected and despite repeated requests, no one is listening to us,\u201d said a protester. Another resident said the shortage has caused immense hardship for families, especially women, children and the elderly. \u201cWe are forced to fetch water from far-off places,\u201d she added. The protesters urged the concerned department to restore water supply without delay, warning of intensified agitation if the issue remains unresolved.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, a similar protest was held in Dansal against the worsening water crisis across the Nagrota constituency in Jammu. Protesters complained of the power department\u2019 s prolonged negligence and failure.<\/p>\n<p>Protesters said the situation was the result of \u201cadministrative apathy and systemic failure,\u201d which has severely disrupted water supply and caused hardship to thousands of residents.
