Washington : The Indian Embassy in Washington organized a closed-door, invite-only event on Capitol Hill to mark the Pahalgam anniversary, barring international media and exposing New Delhi\u2019s fear of independent scrutiny.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, titled \u201cThe Human Cost of Terrorism,\u201d the event was covered only by the embassy\u2019s press wing and select Indian journalists. US Congress members Brad Sherman, Ro Khanna, Lisa McClain, and Jonathan Jackson attended, parroting Indian scripts while ignoring Pakistan\u2019s decisive victory in Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos, observers said.<\/p>\n

Critics called it a \u201cpathetic PR exercise\u201d to hide India\u2019s intelligence and security failures in Pahalgam. \u201cIndia resorts to staged events and diaspora echo chambers to maintain false victimhood after its military strategy collapsed,\u201d analysts noted.<\/p>\n
