Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian forces in their unabated acts of state terrorism have martyred fourteen Kashmiris in the last four months.<\/p>\n
According to the data issued by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, today, at least 33 civilians were injured due to use of brute force by Indian police and paramilitary forces on defenceless people of Kashmir.<\/p>\n
During the period, Indian Army, Rashtriya Rifles, Central Reserve Police Force, Special Operations Group, and notorious agencies such as Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK), National Investigation Agency (NIA), and State Investigation Agency (SIA) have arrested over 1028 civilians, including youth, students, activists and women. Many of them were booked under draconian laws, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and Public Safety Act (PSA) during 908 cordon and search operations and house raids in the period.

\nAdditionally, intensifying its colonial-style suppression, the highly communal and corrupt administration, led by New Delhi-appointed Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, under the direct control of the Indian Home Minister, seized seventy two properties, including houses, lands, shops, institutions and vehicles of activists in IIOJK. These illegal confiscations are part of the BJP-led Indian government\u2019s strategy to economically strangle Kashmiris and suppress their political stance and freedom aspirations.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the forces\u2019 personnel martyred two youth, including one in a fake encounter, while a youth and a teenage girl were killed in the presence of Indian army, paramilitary, Special Operation Groups and police personnel by Hindutva RSS\/BJP groups in Ramban district of the territory in last month of April.<\/p>\n
Indian police, during an operation, opened fire and killed a youth Abhineet Singh alias Nagi in the Miran Sahib in Jammu district when he along with an associate tried to escape under the cover of darkness from Indian police operation in the area.<\/p>\n
The grisly killings meant to terrify Kashmiris but every killing instills new vigour in the most militarized zone of the world.<\/p>\n
At least ninety five persons, including students, youth, activists and women were arrested by Indian forces in the last month.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, over three thousand Hurriyat leaders, activists, youth, students, journalists, women and human rights defenders, including APHC Chairman Masarat Aalam Butt, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Aasiya Andrabi, Naheeda Nasreen, Fehmeeda Sofi, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Mohammad Ayaz Akbar, Peer Saifullah, Merajudin Kalwal. Farooq Ahmad Dar, Advocate Mian Abdul Qayoom, Dr Hameed Fayaz, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Bilal Siddiqi, Molvi Bashir Usmani, Fayaz Hussain Jaferi, Zaffar Akbar Butt, Advocate Zahid Ali, Dr Muhammad Qasim Fakhtoo, Rafiq Ahmad Ganai, Khurrum Parvaiz (human rights defender), and dozens of Kashmiri women continue to remain lodged in different jails of India and IIOJK.<\/p>\n
