It cited \u201ctransnational repression,\u201d including surveillance and coercive tactics to suppress criticism of the Indian government.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCanada must remain vigilant regarding potential transnational repression activities,&#8221; it said. However, the CSIS underlined that advocacy for Khalistan remained \u201clawful political activity\u201d in Canada.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSome Canadians participate in legitimate and peaceful campaigning to support the Khalistan movement.
