Also, posters appeared in Srinagar and other areas urging India to leave the territory.

Videos circulated by Kashmiris recalled May 2025 when Pakistan gave a “swift, calculated military response” to Indian missile strikes under Operation Sindoor through Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos. “We Kashmiris remind this day. We express our deep love for Pakistan and reaffirm our belief that Kashmir is a part of Pakistan. Pakistan Zindabad, Pak Fauj Zindabad,” said messages from the Valley.

The videos stated that on this day, Pakistan demonstrated it will defend its sovereignty at any cost and overcome all challenges posed by Indian aggression and its Hindutva-driven agenda in the region. “We Kashmiris look to Pakistan with hope to help end political injustice and Indian occupation. We seek freedom from India and a good future with Pakistan,” the messages added, stressing that Kashmir is the land of Shah-e-Hamdan and martyrs, deeply rooted in history and identity, and connected to the Two-Nation Theory.

Messages in Urdu hailed Pakistan’s response to Indian aggression and lauded Field Marshal General Asim Munir’s “courage, leadership and clear stance on Kashmir.” “We remind our brotherly country Pakistan to take practical steps to free us from Indian occupation and atrocities. We have immense love for Pakistan, and Kashmir is part of Pakistan,” one message read.

Voices from minority communities also emerged. “I am a Kashmiri Pandit. In May 2025, when Pakistan gave a befitting reply to Indian aggression, we Kashmiri Pandits stand with our Kashmiri Muslim brothers. We consider the Kashmiris’ freedom struggle legitimate and want liberation from Indian aggression,” a message said. It added that the Amarnath Yatra, once not of much significance, has been turned into a communal Hindutva agenda by the BJP regime, and extending it to 57 days reflects an anti-Kashmir policy.

Similarly, a message from the Sikh community of Jammu and Kashmir stated: “We Kashmiri Sikhs stand with our Kashmiri Muslim brothers. We consider the Kashmiris’ freedom struggle legitimate and want liberation from Indian aggression.” It rejected all communal agendas and said the BJP government illegally revoked Article 370 and 35A using force, snatching their rights. “Pakistan Zindabad! Khalistan Zindabad,” it added.

Meanwhile, posters praising Pakistan appeared in Srinagar and other areas of the internationally recognized disputed territory, saying India must leave Kashmir to bring peace to the region. Hashtags #MarkaEHaqLegacy and #KashmirSouthAsiaFlashPoint trended as Kashmiris said Marka-e-Haq reshaped the narrative, projecting Pakistan’s resolve globally and exposing the limits of Indian claims of strength.

“A year on, Marka-e-Haq stands as a symbol of resilience, strategy, and shifting regional dynamics,” observers noted. “Marka-e-Haq has profoundly transformed the narrative surrounding Kashmir and once again brought Kashmir into sharp global focus.”

Kashmiris said developments following Marka-e-Haq served as a catalyst, reigniting their determination for self-determination. “Kashmir remains the core dispute—central to peace and stability in South Asia. Continued neglect of Kashmir only intensifies tensions in an already nuclearized region. The message is clear: Lasting peace in South Asia hinges on a just resolution of the Kashmir dispute,” they stressed.

MarkaEHaqLegacy/#KashmirSouthAsiaFlashPoint

Srinagar: Kashmiris across Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir marked ‘Bunyan-um-Marsoos’ day, sharing videos from the Kashmir Valley and Jammu region praising Pakistan and calling for liberation from Indian occupation.
