\nIslamabad: Pakistan’s historic success on both defensive and diplomatic fronts during Marka-e Haq has established the country as a credible champion of peace on the global stage. These views were expressed by experts, legal professionals, and youth activists during a special digital space organized by Kashmir Media Service (KMS) and the Jammu & Kashmir Liberation Cell, titled “Psychological Warfare and National Morale in the Context of Marka-e Haq.”
\nThe session was hosted by Najib Ul Ghafoor Khan, In-charge of Digital Media at the Jammu & Kashmir Liberation Cell. The distinguished panel included Sardar Bilal Shakeel Advocate, renowned youth activist Qurat-ul-Ain Khawaja, Maaz Khan, Amna Ishaq Abbasi, and journalist Muhammad Haroon Abbas, Editor of South Asian Wire.
\nOpening the discussion, host Najib Ul Ghafoor Khan highlighted the significance of the topic, stating that Marka-e Haq was not merely a defensive operation but a decisive response to the enemy\u2019s ‘Fifth Generation Warfare’ aimed at demoralizing the Pakistani nation. He emphasized that victory in psychological warfare depends not just on weaponry, but on a nation\u2019s unwavering faith in its ideology and the state.
\nThe speakers noted that Pakistan achieved more than just military superiority; it effectively defeated the enemy in the “war of narratives,” leading the international community to recognize Pakistan as a responsible and peace-loving state. Sardar Bilal Shakeel Advocate emphasized that this monumental victory has enhanced the value of the Pakistani identity, the Green Crescent flag, and the national passport. He remarked that a strong narrative is the force that stabilizes a country\u2019s military standing on a diplomatic level, allowing overseas Pakistanis to hold their heads high.
\nThe forum lauded the pivotal role of the youth in celebrating the victory of Marka-e Haq and communicating its benefits to the public. Qurat-ul-Ain Khawaja stated that the younger generation not only celebrated this victory on the ground but also vigorously advocated for Pakistan\u2019s case in the digital world. She stressed that social media is no longer just a source of entertainment but a modern ‘battleground’ where every youth has the potential to defend the country like a soldier. The participants agreed that to counter the Indian propaganda machinery, the youth must be equipped with modern digital skills and principles of ‘information verification’ to combat ‘deep fakes’ and misinformation with facts.
\nMaaz Khan, speaking on the technical dimensions of the subject, observed that India has long been engaged in conspiracies to weaken Pakistani morale through ‘perception management.’ However, Marka-e Haq has proven that a truth-based national narrative can shatter any artificial conspiracy. He added that when national morale is high, even the most formidable enemy is psychologically overwhelmed.
\nMuhammad Haroon Abbas, Editor of South Asian Wire, advised the youth to represent Pakistan on the digital front using evidence, logic, and references to international law rather than emotional reactions. He remarked that future wars would be more ‘cognitive’ (intellectual) than ‘kinetic’ (physical), where the triumph of truth and an effective narrative will be considered the ultimate victory.
