New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has launched a scathing attack on the BJP, saying that it has built a system to steal elections, while asserting that people have understood the situation and will respond with public anger.<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, addressing a gathering in Gurugram, Gandhi said that the BJP manipulated elections in Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and Maharashtra, and also recently in West Bengal and Assam.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey delete lakhs of names and add lakhs of names. The ECI [Election Commission of India] and bureaucracy are under their control,\u201d he said, adding, \u201cThey think that their rule will not stop.\u201d \u201cBut their time is going to come. People have understood that Narendra Modi and Amit Shah are selling the country. Airport, ports, infrastructure. Nicobar Island is being sold to Adani,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He also raised concerns over the Indo-US trade deal, warning it would hurt Indian farmers and small industries. \u201cOur agri sector has been opened for US farmers who can now sell their produce in Indian markets. And India would have to purchase goods from the US every year under the agreement, affecting domestic industry,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Gandhi further raised concerns about data sovereignty, saying, \u201cAnd all your data, what you speak, messages you send, medical data, hospital data, all of that Modi has handed over to America. What did India get in this deal, nothing. Zero, we got nothing\u201d.<\/p>\n
The Congress leader also referenced to the Epstein files issue, stating that the Modi government compromised India\u2019s interests under the trade deal.<\/p>\n
He intensified his criticism of Modi, saying, \u201cNarendra Modi and (industrialist) Adani are one and the same. Though the company’s name is Adani, it should be renamed as \u2018Modani\u2019,\u201d he said, adding, \u201cThe entire nation knows that the BJP’s financial system is Adani. US President Donald Trump also knows it.\u201d<\/p>\n
