Islamabad: A grand ceremony was organized at the office of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter under the chairmanship of Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi to pay tribute to the Pakistan Army in the context of the historic achievements of Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyanum Marsoos.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
According to Kashmir Media Service, the ceremony was attended by a large number of defence, strategic and security analysts, Hurriyat leaders, intellectuals, political and social figures, youth and people belonging to different schools of thought.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The ceremony appreciated the professionalism, courage, sacrifices and unparalleled services of the armed forces of Pakistan for national security.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The special guest of the ceremony was retired Major General Samrez Salik, while other guests included Dr Syed Muhammad Ali and Dr Khatm Abbas.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The speakers in their speeches said that the wisdom, courage, military skill and unwavering determination displayed by the Pakistani armed forces during the Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyanum Marsoos not only crushed the nefarious intentions of the enemy but also made it clear to the whole world that Pakistan is ready to make every sacrifice to protect its sovereignty, security and national dignity.<\/p>\n

They said Pakistan’s stormy and decisive countermeasures in a short time have left the enemy in a state of panic, while at the global level, the balance of power, military strategy and the narrative regarding the situation in South Asia have changed.<\/p>\n

Retired Major General Samrez Salik in his address said that India had taken the path of aggression by justifying the Pahalgam false flag operation in view of the political chaos and weak economic situation in Pakistan, but Pakistan not only inflicted a crushing defeat on India on the military front but also destroyed India’s pride by shooting down several warplanes, including three Rafale aircraft.<\/p>\n

He said that presenting the Kashmir dispute merely as a land or border dispute between India and Pakistan is contrary to facts. \u201cWe have to convince the world that the Kashmir is actually an issue of the birthright of the 1.5 crore Kashmiri people to self-determination, their life, dignity, freedom and future.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said that the Kashmiri people have been making unprecedented sacrifices for decades to achieve their fundamental and inalienable rights, therefore, it is the responsibility of the international community to play an effective role in resolving this issue in accordance with the resolutions of the United Nations and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.<\/p>\n

Dr Syed Muhammad Ali said the struggle for truth and Operation Bunyanum Marsoos were actually a war fought for the sake of Kashmir because Pakistan\u2019s main objective was to protect the freedom, dignity and right to self-determination of the Kashmiri people. He said that the destruction and military loss that India faced within just four hours was unparalleled even in the wars of 1965 and 1971.<\/p>\n

He said that Pakistan\u2019s vigorous and effective countermeasures gave India such a crushing defeat that it was forced to request a ceasefire.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Other speakers said the Pakistani armed forces are not just a military force but a symbol of the nation\u2019s honor, dignity, strength and confidence. They said the unity, expertise and professional coordination demonstrated by the Pakistan Army, Pakistan Air Force and Pakistan Navy is a source of pride for the entire nation.<\/p>\n

They urged the international community to play its role in resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the United Nations resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people for the establishment of lasting peace in South Asia.<\/p>\n

Ghulam Muhammad Safi thanked all the distinguished guests, speakers, participants, journalists and youth who attended the ceremony and said the Kashmiri people will maintain their historical, ideological and heartfelt ties with Pakistan and the Pakistani Armed Forces at all costs.<\/p>\n

At the end of the ceremony, a great tribute was paid to the martyrs, ghazis and brave sons of the Pakistani Armed Forces who sacrificed their lives for the defense of the homeland.<\/p>\n
